Warner Bros. Records names Carlos Ogando Senior National Urban & Rhythm Promotion Director. He will report to Lee L’Heureux, Senior Vice President of Rhythm, Urban & Hip-Hop Promotion & Strategy, and will be based at the company’s New York office.
“Los has incredible skills and ability to work creatively and successfully with artists and radio. I’ve known Los for many years and couldn’t be more excited to bring him back home to Warner Bros. Records as we expand the Rhythm and Urban radio team,” said L’Heureux.
“It is truly an honor to return to Warner Bros. Records after spending a large part of my early career at the company. I look forward to working with all of the extraordinary new and established artists under the excellent leadership of Cameron Strang, Peter Gray & Lee L’Heureux,” said Ogando.
Prior to his current role, Ogando worked in Urban & Rhythm Promotion at Entertainment One and in Mixshow Promotion at Warner Bros. Records from 2006 to 2012. He began his career in the Rap Department at Interscope Records in 2003

Jay Z and Live Nation have extended their touring partnership with a brand new, 10-year, multi-million dollar deal. Variety and Billboard report that the agreement is worth $200 million, though an exact number was not revealed in the announcement of the deal.
“Live Nation and I entered unchartered territory in 2008,” Jay said in a statement. “Over nine years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences. Michael Rapino is an industry visionary, and this renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape”
Jay Z is one of the world’s preeminent touring artists,” Live Nation President/CEO Michael Rapino added. “This strengthens the creative and business partnership of someone that continues to expand his touring base and reach.”
According to Billboard, the deal extends the 360-deal Jay signed with Live Nation back in 2008, which included albums, publishing and Roc Nation. However, the new agreement is solely focused on touring, though Jay Z and Live Nation will both remain partners in Roc Nation.
