He will continue to serve as the Program Director for ALT 104.9, St. Louis’ Alternative Rock, a position he has held since December 2016.
Fletcher will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations for the iHeartMedia St. Louis Region Alternative Rock brands, ALT 104.9 and ALT 106.3. He will work closely with both markets on-air personalities and sales teams to oversee the stations’ on-air content, digital footprint and music programming. Fletcher will report to Greg Chance, Region Senior Vice President of Programming for the St. Louis Region, and A.J., Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia St. Louis.
“Nobody knows the Alternative Rock format and core audience better than Fletcher, who is a gifted programmer with unmeasurable creativity,” said A.J.
“Fletcher has already made a huge impact with ALT 104.9 in St. Louis during his short time in the market,” said Chance. “I’m positive he will continue to take our St. Louis Region Alternative Rock brands to new heights with his expanded role.”
Fletcher brings over 10 years of programming expertise to his new roles. Prior to joining ALT 104.9, he served as Program Director and Midday Host for iHeartMedia Richmond’s XL102 and Program Director for 96.1 The Planet. Fletcher has previously worked at stations including: WFNX-FM in Boston, MA; WFXH-FM in Savannah, GA; WDYL-FM in Richmond, VA; and WFNZ in Knoxville, TN.
“This is a huge opportunity leading our programming efforts at ALT 106.3 in Des Moines,” said Fletcher. “I’m extremely proud of what we’ve done with ALT 104.9. The St. Louis Region has some of the most talented programming and on-air talent in radio and I’m excited for what we have in store.”
