Quick Hits: MTV VMAs, Miley Cyrus, Big Boi

MTV has announced the first round of performers for its 2017 Video Music Awards. The lineup includes Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Lorde, The Weeknd, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes. Katy Perry will host the awards show and perform as well. The VMAs will be handed out on August 27 live from The Forum in Inglewood, CA. Miley Cyrus has also announced her anticipated new record will be titled Younger Now. Beyoncé Dominates 2016 MTV VMAs

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards were all about Beyoncé, who won eight Moon Men and became the all-time leader in VMA wins, surpassing Madonna. Bey won Video of the Year for “Formation,” which also won Best Pop Video, Best Choreography, Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Editing. Additionally, “Hold Up” won Best Female Video while Lemonade was named Breakthrough Long Form Video.
